Churches need that overflow mentality. That what God pours in, we pour out. If a church is really a community of believers which make up the body of Christ, we need to listen to Christ and do his will. His mission was always to reach those who needed him (heal, restore, save.) I currently think that most churches would benefit from more prayer, which could possibly lead to less but more effective programs and outreach. I have begun trying prayer evangelism in combination with outreach and service. I also recall that God said something about his house being a house of prayer.
